What’s Unmuddle?
Unmuddle is Mental Fitness coaching designed for neurodivergent people that don’t fit neatly into the usual boxes. If focus slips away, emotions run high, or daily planning feels like climbing a mountain, ADHD-friendly coaching can help.
We use science-backed, ADHD-friendly strategies that build habits to help boost focus, resilience and everyday performance.

*just to be clear: when we say “ADHD brains” we’re talking about the body’s entire nervous system, brain, spinal cord, immune and sensory systems, encompassing the mind, gut, body, and how these respond to the environment, relationships and life's everyday traumas.

Why Unmuddle?
Traditional coaching often misses the mark for ADHDers, who tend to become dysregulated pretty often, making everyday living difficult in today’s world.
The problem is too many people just end up muddling through life, trying to fit into systems that simply weren’t designed for them.
The good news is that we’re all wired differently, each with unique capabilities and strengths. Once we find and nurture these we can create an environment that suits our needs, and make changes in how we respond to challenges, so life can quickly start to look very different!
Unmuddle ADHD Mental Fitness coaching is designed to help anyone find their place in this modern world. It’s an approach that allows you to create a lifestyle, career and living environment that really does have your ADHD brain*, in mind.

Dr Mick Darby (DPsych, CPsychol), Founder

Unmuddle has been taking shape for over a decade, and it’s constantly evolving as the science changes. It all began when I realised the usual ways of coaching or therapy didn’t quite cut it for my neurodiverse clients. So I learned, discussed, tweaked, tested and tailored my approach until it worked for the people sitting (or moving) in front of me.

Along the way, I developed a passion for helping ADHDers to harness their unique brains, realise their potential, craft successful careers and enjoy their lives, according to their indivineeds.
Yes, the challenges can be tough but each brings an opportunity for growth, creativity and success.

Unmuddle is for the high-achievers chasing that extra edge, the under-achievers who feel stuck, and the over-achievers teetering on the edge of burnout.

It's grounded in the latest science and informed by neuroscientists, nutritionists, psychologists, physiologists and psychiatrists; shaped by hundreds of client stories, and coloured by my own lived experience.
My hope is simple: that Unmuddle allows everyone it touches to find more joy, more purpose and the confidence to live life to the fullest.
